Today was a relatively easy day as we encountered the Meseta for the first time. 70% of the day was through the earth track across the peace & quiet of the endless crop fields: wheat on the better ground and barley & oats on the higher & poorer soil. There is little or no shade on the Meseta and for many Aussies it reminds them of home.
