You will see in the picture our Pilgrim Passports which we had stamped at each day to qualify us for the Compostela Certificate (also in pic.)
We will spend tomorrow here in Santiago and then with our Darwin mates we are off to Finisterre on the coast for a couple of days before heading to Portugal.
Stay tuned as we continue our daily posts.

Day 35 - These boots have done some walkin'.....800km to be exact. What a great journey it was!
Day 35 - our Big happy Camino family....WE DID IT!!
We all went out for a celebratory dinner. The bond between fellow pilgrims in this group was amazingly strong.

Day 34 - Ribadiso to O Pedrouzo (23km) One muddy step at a time today & a rainy day - JUST 19 KM TO SANTIAGO!!!
We are very much looking forward to arriving in Santiago tomorrow.
Funny thing is we must now start thinking about & planning the next stage of our journey. Strange after such a consistent routine of walking the Camino for so long.

Day 32 - Portomarin to Palas de Rei (24.8 km) - 3 days / 65km to go.
Finding more tour groups on this final section of the Camino. The rule is that to get your Credential you must at least walk the last 100 km of the Camino and this is what most people do.
Day 32 - life on the Camino in very rural Spain.
The country around here is very English in appearance, complete with dry stone fencing. There are however still no farmhouses, they are all village based.

Day 30 - Triacastela to Sarria (18.7 km) - glorious weather, beautiful scenery, easy day!! :) Plan to be in Santiago, our final destination, next Tuesday (28/4), so 5 days to go. Could be that we are just starting to count. :)
Great to be walking again and foot feeling heaps better. Just carrying day pack for a couple of days and sending main pack ahead.
Looks like the next couple of days are going to be a bit ugly. Thank goodness for the right gear. Stay tuned, might see the return of the "drowned rat".
